The Contour Barrel Full Cheek Bit combines a single-jointed barrel mouthpiece with a cheekpiece designed to provide increased lateral guidance and stability.
The mouthpiece is constructed from fixed, rounded barrel segments, creating multiple contact points across the tongue and bars. Compared to a traditional smooth single joint, this gives the rider a more defined response when the horse becomes heavy or leans into the hand, while remaining stable when the horse carries itself lightly.
Each segment features anti-pinch grooves to help prevent the lips from being caught.
The Full Cheek design enhances lateral guidance by supporting direction and alignment. The extended cheek arms help guide the horse through turns and prevent the bit from sliding through the mouth, creating a more consistent and supported connection.
