This bit features the Intuport Flexi mouthpiece with a medium port designed to create space for the tongue. By lifting the center of the mouthpiece away from the tongue, pressure is reduced and redistributed across the bars. This can be beneficial for horses with a sensitive tongue or horses that tend to stick their tongue out.
The port includes a flat surface that contacts the palate while maintaining a flat surface across the tongue. This design helps reduce tongue pressure while supporting consistent contact.
The mouthpiece is constructed from TPU, offering flexibility while maintaining durability. Inside the mouthpiece, a wire core reinforces the structure, helping maintain strength while preserving flexibility. The mouthpiece also features a slight forward angle designed to follow the natural anatomy of the horse’s mouth.
The Nelson gag cheekpiece combines the lifting effect of a gag with the stability of full cheek, offering excellent directional guidance and control. This design can encourage balance and elevation.
