Sweet Iron Port Full Cheek Bit

The Sweet Iron Port Full Cheek Bit is designed for horses that show sensitivity to tongue pressure while benefiting from additional lateral guidance.

This bit features a solid medium port mouthpiece that creates space for the tongue. By lifting the center of the mouthpiece away from the tongue, pressure on the tongue is reduced. This design can be beneficial for horses with a sensitive mouth or tongue, helping promote improved bit acceptance and a more consistent connection.

The mouthpiece is handmade in sweet iron. When exposed to moisture, sweet iron produces a warming effect and a mild sweet taste in the horse’s mouth. These qualities can encourage increased mouthing and salivation, which may support a softer and more relaxed feel in the contact.

The full cheek design provides added lateral guidance by extending above and below the mouthpiece. This cheekpiece helps support clearer directional aids and helps prevent the bit from sliding through the mouth.
